How to make XL dog crate, measure 24 inches on one side of two of the 3/4 by-24-by-36-inch plywood. Mark this measurement with a pencil. Use a straight edge to draw a straight line from the mark to the upper corner of each panel. Cut along the two lines of a table saw. These are the two sides of the dog box. The leading edge of the side measures 36 inches. Rear measures 24 inches. Place the remaining 3/4-by-24-by-36-inch plywood panel on the work surface.
Sand all dog box parts with 120-grit sandpaper. Apply a wood finish of your choice to all dog box parts. Let the wood finish completely dry before removing any parts. Place a 3/4-by-24-by-36-inch plywood panel on the work surface. This is the bottom of the XL dog crate. Align the remaining 3/4 by-24-by-24-inch panel of plywood on top of the box.
