SHY United was conceived as a program that would allow shy people to connect and get to know each other in a safe environment. SHY United is for people who recognize that their inhibitions and introverted personalities are hampering their dating lives. SHY United allows timid people to review their inhibitions and establish themselves anew. SHY United offers forums, chats, newsletters, self-help articles and matchmaking assistance.
Nettie from Grand Rapids was relieved to find SHY United. "Most people wouldn't understand this, but I'm 35 and I never went out on a date until I found SHY United. The thought of going out with someone that I didn't know was terrifying to me. Even with SHY United, it took me almost a year until I was ready to go out on my first date, but once I started, each introduction became easier and easier. I haven't met anyone special yet, but at least now I now that I'm capable of dating."
