OkCupid is a fast-growing online dating site which is free and open to all. The OKCupid staff uses anonymous answers to relationship-based questions to create graphs and charts that assist the OKCupid members in deciding which type of person they want to date. Then, members can scan the OKCupid database to find potential relationship partners.
Gerald from Scranton has been dating a woman that he met on OKCupid. "I belong to several Internet dating sites but OKCupid is the place where I found the woman who I've been dating for the last four months. It's not the largest site but it could be that that was the reason that the matchmaking went so easily, because it was easier to find each other.
Sally from Lexington feels that dating sites have a obligation to scan their members before allowing them to post profiles. "What can I say? As soon as I put up my profile I was contacted by several guys who were, to say the least, inappropriate. The next time I join a dating site I'm going to look for one that reviews the members' profiles and gets rid of the strange ones. If I have to pay, that's fine."
Kelly from Great Falls reviews the OKCupid sites as easy to navigate and user-friendly. "Great interface and very simple to use. I made some matchmaking contacts through the sites and have no complaints about its accessibility. The number of people who live in out-of-the-way places is limited, but that's true on all the sites, so I can't really register a complaint about that. I'm prepared for a long-distance relationship, so that doesn't matter to me."
Raymond from Reno submits a complimentary review of OKCupid. "As a new resident of Reno I was prepared to do whatever possible to start meeting new people. I did the whole singles circuit, folk dancing, book clubs, etc., but really didn't find anyone that I clicked with. I joined OKCupid on a dare from a friend at work but when I started to take it seriously and really look at the profiles, I began to see profiles of women who I could see myself spending time with. I've met a couple of these women (I travel too, so that helps) and find new possibilities all the time."
Al from Bridgeport has reservations about OKCupid. "The reason that I didn't find anyone may be my age (63) but there were simply no women on OKCupid who lived within five hundred miles of me who were anywhere near my age. That may just be the demographics, but OKCupid should let potential members know, before we waste our time, that there are some demographics which aren't served on their site.
