You can buy ramps at your local pet store, or you can save a few dollars and make a completely custom ramp at home for your canine companion.
Determine the width of the ramp based on the size of your dog. Small breeds such as Chihuahuas and Pomeranians, fits on a 12-inch wide ramp. Measure the appropriate width of the plywood and cut with a sharp saw to create an 8-foot-long base of the ramp.
